📂 Access to information manual

Version 2026-10-13 · prepared under section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA)

This manual is for Edu Connected (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa (registration number 2026/591995/07), which trades as MathsConnected. It lists the records we hold and says how to ask to see one. How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy.

Who to ask

Requests go to our Information Officer, who is the head of the company:

The Regulator's guide to PAIA

The Information Regulator publishes a guide to using PAIA, in each official language. It explains your rights and how to ask any body for a record. It is free on the Regulator's website and from its office:

Records you can have without asking formally

Everything published on this website: the terms of use, the privacy policy, the refunds and cancellations policy, the price list and this manual. Anyone with an account can also see their own account details and invoices, and the progress of their own children or learners, by signing in. We have not published a notice under section 52(2) of PAIA.

Records we keep because a law says so

The records we hold

A record appearing in this list does not mean a request for it will be granted. PAIA allows, and sometimes requires, a request to be refused, for example to protect somebody else's privacy.

How we process personal information

How to ask for a record

Fees

The fees are those the PAIA regulations set for private bodies: a request fee of R140, R2 for each page copied, and R145 an hour, after the first hour, to find and prepare a record (R435 at most). We tell you the amount before any work is done. Asking for your own personal information carries no request fee, and asking us to correct or delete it costs nothing.

If we refuse

We give our reasons in writing. You may then complain to the Information Regulator (PAIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za) or apply to a court, within 180 days.

Where this manual is kept

On this website, and at our registered office, where it may be read free of charge. We send a copy to anyone who asks, and to the Information Regulator on request. We update it when what it says changes.
